Obituary for Erick L. "Snoop" Harris

Erick Lamont Harris was born to Jennie Ann and Henry Lee Harris on
July 16, 1974 in Rochester, New York. Erick grew up on the west side of the city and was affectionately known by many as “Snoop” because of his resemblance to the rapper. He was about “his business” and he was also a professionally skilled drywall finisher. Erick loved to dress head to toe, loved dogs and cared about people.

Erick had his way. He was very direct in his communication but he was also very caring and ready to help out if he could. He was always there when you needed him and you could trust and rely on him. Anyone who really knew “Snoop” had nothing but good things to say about him. People thought of him as being a genuine person and friend.

The honor of his memory will be cherished by his daughter, Enijah Harris; his mother Jennie Orum; grandmother: Mattie Russell; brothers: Darnell Harris, Jeffery Nelson and Stephon Rapley; sisters: Cheryl (Roger) Grant, Nechole Rapley and Tara Harris; aunts: Linda Barnes, Loretta (Calvin) Cummings, Rhu Rivers, Carol Harris, Kathleen Harris, Alma Miller and Thelma Barnes; uncles: Dwayne Harris and James D. Wilson; special cousin: Todd L. Gillenwater; and a host of other relatives, friends, and acquaintances.
Erick was predeceased by his father, Henry Lee Harris, grandparents: James and Thelma Barnes, and grandfather: Crosby Harris; uncle: Gregory Barnes; aunt: Emma Moore.
