Obituary for Rachel Austin-Glasgow

Rachel E Austin-Glasgow was born on February 27, 1972 in Rochester New York. to the late Clarence and Minnie Austin. Rachel attended Edison Technical High School. After high school in 1992 Rachel worked briefly at the Bausch and Lomb Optical Division until 1994. In 1994 she was hired at the Delco Products plant, a Division of General Motors. Rachel worked at GM until February of 2001 to become at stay-at-home mom. In 2007 Rachel returned to work and found employment at Bags Unlimited, she continued to work there she was laid-off in 2014. In 2017 Rachel attended the Action for a Better Community’s job training program and acquired a CNC certificate and found employment at the Tru Form Manufacturing Company. Rachel enjoyed baking, listening to music, singing, shopping and most of all spending time with her twin sister Raquel and grand- daughter Meleana. Red was Rachel’s favorite color.
In June of 1998 Rachel married the late Gerald Glasgow Sr. Rachel had one son prior to her marriage, Rayshawn Austin. To this union, two children were born Gerald Glasgow Jr. and Tamia Glasgow.
Rachel departed this life on December 22, 2020. She is predeceased by her husband Gerald Glasgow Sr. her parents Clarence and Minnie Austin, her sister Verna Denise Robinson. and brother William T. Austin. She leaves to cherish her memories her children, Rayshawn Austin, Gerald Glasgow Jr. Tamia Glasgow, one granddaughter Meleana Amil Ashford, two Brothers Clarence Austin and Cleveland (Janet)Austin, three sisters Gwendolyn Austin, Charlyene (Gregory) Moorehead, Raquel (Winston) Hanlan and a whole host of nieces and nephews.
